Advocate was founded to cut through the complexity of Social Security disability (SSDI/SSI) applications and provide ongoing clinical support. Its mission: apply modern technology and expert care to help people secure critical benefits—and their health—without overwhelming bureaucracy.
We repositioned Advocate as more than a filing service—it’s a holistic ally. Designed to support applicants from initial eligibility check through medical evidence collection, appeal filing, and administrative hearings, Advocate combines a clinical-first mindset with intuitive digital tools. The brand needed to feel compassionate and capable—grounded in care, powered by clarity.

Visual Identity System
The identity reflects clarity and compassion. A calming color palette—muted blues, soft ivory, and grounded grays—establishes trust without sterility. Typography is gentle but structured, ensuring high readability across devices and use cases. Layouts are open, breathable, and focused on step-by-step guidance.
Illustration and iconography soften the edges of a bureaucratic process, while maintaining credibility. Everything is optimized to reduce intimidation and increase user confidence. The tone is not “government”—it’s “you’re not alone.”
Design System Principles
The design system is modular and built for support-first UX. Flows are simplified, status is always visible, and content hierarchy helps users take one confident step at a time. Built on an 8pt grid with adaptive spacing and mobile-first layouts, the system handles legal detail and clinical input with equal clarity.
Motion is subtle—used to orient, not distract. Interactions are frictionless, particularly for users with cognitive or emotional stress. Accessibility is foundational: the design never assumes technical fluency.
Proprietary Tools / Platforms
The platform’s core is a guided disability application experience, supported by licensed clinicians who help users gather documentation, submit paperwork, and navigate appeals. We helped define the support experience layer—a design model that makes Advocate feel more like a trusted advocate than a transactional service.
