As Samba TV scaled into new markets and platforms, live events became critical brand moments—opportunities to demonstrate leadership, forge industry relationships, and showcase the company’s evolving technology in real time. Under my direction as Creative Director, we transformed these engagements into immersive environments that extended the brand beyond screens and into physical space.

The positioning was clear: Samba TV wasn’t just a measurement company—it was building the next interface between viewers, data, and content. Each activation became a stage to dramatize this vision through form, interactivity, and experience design.

Visual Identity System

The events system pulled from the core identity—signal mapping, screen glow, attention gradients—but scaled it up for maximum presence and spatial adaptability. We expanded the toolkit to include glowing sculptural elements, high-contrast stage design, modular signage, and layered content walls.

Typography was used boldly—sized for distance, contrast, and legibility across high-noise environments. The color system shifted toward purples, magentas, and electrified blues, punctuated by the glowing Samba TV heart icon: a symbol of emotional connection to television.

Each event was framed like a real-time dashboard—alive, responsive, and emotionally resonant.

Design System Principles

Every event followed a modular design and experience logic: brand → product → interaction → immersion. We built scalable systems that adapted to diverse event footprints—from global expos like CES and DMEXCO to intimate executive summits.

Layout systems mirrored interface thinking: wayfinding and information behaved like UI, while booth flows and signage created a visual rhythm aligned with attention analytics. Our work focused on both visual spectacle and clarity—ensuring Samba’s product story never got lost in the noise.

Proprietary Tools / Platforms

A defining example was our CES 2018 installation, developed in partnership with Volvox Labs. Together we created Samba TV’s first interactive demo space: a fully immersive environment anchored by a media façade composed of 546 LED nodes, forming a 3,832-pixel light array. More details on these projects can be found here.

This sculptural display visualized Samba’s real-time data using abstract, ambient light animations. The installation included embedded displays and touchscreen interfaces built with TouchDesigner, allowing attendees to engage directly with the product—navigating attention data, media signals, and live case studies.

Beyond the main feature, the space also integrated private conference rooms, demo stations, and real-time analytics monitors—bridging architecture, data, and brand storytelling into one cohesive experience.

We also created a repeatable Event Toolkit for the internal team—providing design systems, motion assets, and environmental templates that scaled from large expos to private meetings, without losing cohesion or clarity.
